SWITZERLAND. Solothurn. After 1377. Vierzipfliger Pfennig (Silver, 12x12 mm, 0.17 g). Head of St. Ursus facing, S-O at neck. Rev. Incuse of obverse. HMZ 1-454. An exceptional piece, sharply struck, beautifully toned and with a fine pedigree. A few light marks, otherwise, extremely fine.

From the collection of Dr. Max Blaschegg (1930-2021, with collector’s ticket), privately acquired from Athina SA at the Zürich coin fair on 25 October 1996 and from the collections of Julius Simmen (1865-1939), Leu 66, 22 May 1996, 20 and Adolf Iklé (1852-1923), Hamburger 85, 15 October 1928, 1373.
